In this piece, I reimagine Antonio Canova's Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss through a vibrant, urban energy. I explore the duality between delicate Neoclassical perfection and the raw, electric nature of contemporary art. I am deeply fascinated by how the figures intertwine in an embrace that holds and restores life. This work reflects on love not merely as romance, but as an unwavering sanctuary and a essential safety net that sustains us through our most difficult battles. It is an acknowledgment that the sincere affection of those who surround us is the engine that gives us back the strength to rise. I focused on the movement of the bodies and how light touches every curve, highlighting their intimacy through a contrast of turquoises against a magenta background laced with graffiti strokes. By placing these lovers in an urban setting, I strip away the museum's silence to give the scene a living pulse. The artwork celebrates the 'immortal kiss' as a symbol of a love that empowers, rescues, and is reborn—a dialogue between history and the present that invites the viewer to see classical beauty as an audacious, living, and deeply human force.
